When I finished my shows at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe this year, I received a lovely email and picture from Tess in Southport. Here it is:

"Dear Ian Banana

My name is Tess and I saw the 3 Bananas in Edinburgh last week. I really enjoyed the show, and so did my Mummy, Daddy and Grandma. We were all glad that Penny came back. I have drawn a picture of the 3 Bananas.

The trouble is that I can't remember the words to the song Charlie Banana sang, and I would like to sing it for my friends at school.

I live in Southport in Lancashire, and I am 7 years old. This is the second time I have been to Edinburgh.

Bye

Tess"

In case anybody else is wondering, the words to Charlie's song are:

I'm a ripe banana, not too thin
Full of lots of vitamins
When you're feeling hungry, peel my skin:
Open up and pop me in.

I have had a very nice letter from Florence, who (I think) saw my show at the Tricycle Theatre in London. Florence is 6 years old, and has drawn a beautiful picture of 4 Bananas. But I couldn't reply to Florence because she hasn't sent me her address. So I hope she sees this page on my website. Thank you, Florence.

Here is Florence's picture:

Actually, the original is even better.

And her letter reads:

"Dear Ian Saville,

I want to be a banana. I do like Charlie and Penny. I also love bananas. Your magic tricks are great. I have seen a straight banana but I have never never never ever never seen a straight banana as straight as yours. You could call the 3 bananas the 4 bananas with me Florence in the banana show. I would like a book of magic. Merry Christmas to you. Have you put up your Christmas tree? Tell me if you have. I hope you have a fantastic Christmas. Love Florence"

Yes, I have put up my Christmas Tree. And I have had a fantastic Christmas (and Chanukah). Hope you did too.

If you'd like to send me a picture or some email, get a grown-up to help you to send it to ian@3bananas.co.uk, or to the address on my Contacts page, and I'll try to put it on the website (if I can get Charlie to help me).
