Look at it this Way
A unique blend of music and magic, song and satire, verse and ventriloquism
Ian Saville joins forces with singer-songwriter
Leon Rosselson to add a new dimension to the songs and the socialist magic.
Look at it this way - we live in a competitive world, where there are just two classes of people - winners and losers.
Ian doesn’t want to be a winner, but then again he doesn’t want to be a loser either. He just wants to do magic tricks. Can he sell himself? Can he find his niche? Or can he find a vision of a different sort of world, using his magic to change things? Will Leon’s songs point the way?
With songs and magic, Leon and Ian try to cope with the contradictions of living in a world where nothing is quite what it seems. And William Morris puts in an appearance on the 100th. anniversary of his death.
This show was first performed at the 1996 Edinburgh Festival. See Edinburgh reviews for press reaction to that run. For details of future bookings see the list of upcoming performances.
